...............................................................................................................
It’s a monumental cause that will occur in a successive number of months. Five photographers, gifted with naturally exceptional talents in the field of photography and digital arts, have come together to give back their blessings by staging an exhibit of their works and creations.

Benefiting charitable causes like the Palcare, the Abandoned Elderly & Unwed Mothers of the Sanctuary of St. Philomena and the Philam Catholic Community, the exhibition will run from March 28 to April 18 at the Philam Life Building in Manila.

It will feature the works and talents of Parc Cruz, Med Ferrer, Edwin Loyola, Borj Meneses and JP Sarmenta. And after which, these five laudable artists will hold scheduled solo exhibits in the same venue.

giftsParclr' /

PARC CRUZ is most recognized for his work in portraits and conceptual photography. A self-confessed maverick who serves as an inspiration to others with his avant-garde ideas, Cruz defies boundaries and conformities to bring out what he wants in his photographs, capturing and creating awe-inspiring, dramatic and emotive images. Many of his works appear personal and ingrained, identifiable by his own distinctive style. In creating his photographs, Cruz intends to challenge a person to think and let his own mind wander.

giftsMedlr' /

A perceptive eye for composition, color, value and textural relationships is what makes MED FERRER a truly gifted photographer. Combining technical perfection and intuitiveness, his images capture a sense of time and place that truly represents his unique vision of the world. His collection of still life images is thoughtfully elegant in their simplicity with classical balance and contemporary abstract relationships. Of his portraits are reflections of the essence of human dignity and culture. Utilizing a unique point of view, Ferrer has the ability to create dynamic movement from a static and at times monumental subject. The contrast between human and environmental scale is often maximized.

giftsEdwinlr' /

Multi-awarded photographer EDWIN LOYOLA is hailed as the “Dark Artist” for his penchant for dark tones. A veteran at staging exhibitions, Loyola is self-taught and embodies what passion for the craft involves --- by relying on instincts to create a work of art. The range and dimension to which he expresses his creativity is evident in his portfolio, where one will find a spectrum of ordinary elements turned into extra-ordinary images. Loyola is a proponent and a staunch advocate of giving back what God has provided, using his talents to create art, whose main beneficiaries are the charities he supports.

giftsBorjlr' /

DENNIS BORJA MENESES is indeed a disciple of the craft. Pushing himself to learn the technical aspect of photography, Meneses is a proficient glamour, fashion, portrait and conceptual artist. But more than that, he weaves special images that aim to reflect social relevance and make a statement, while sometimes infusing his artistry with graphic designs. Meneses is a believer of the freedom of expression and original ideas, saying that art may be imitated but it should never limit one to strive and create better photos.

giftsSarmentalr' /

JOHN PAUL SARMENTA is a visual artist who prides himself in sharing his thoughts and ideas to everyone through his photographs. From the realm of nature, portraits and surreal conceptual arts he has shared his idealist visions to everyone in hope to make a difference. Though he may be young in years and often categorized as a rebel with his peers, his differences in his philosophies allowed him to build his individuality from the rest, an illusive reverie that exist in our everyday lives.

Songs to be rendered by AL GATMAITAN, Singer/Actor/Host
A total performing artist who always seeks good adventure in life and things that will make his instrument excel and win over mediocrity. The five-year educational training at the College of Music of the University of the Philippines in classical music and experiences in acting from various theater groups such as Dulaang UP, UP Playwrights, Trumpets and PETA where he started his career honed him to be what he is today. He knows that all his talents are gifts from God and so does he believe that to whom much is given, much is expected. His three years of stay in Italy for language studies, bonded with rigid vocal and acting training from highly renowned masters of the performing arts, in full bright scholarships, proved that these people believed in what he can do.
And now he humbly wishes to conquer his audience with great passion as a way of sharing his God given GIFTS.

All days are lonesome in my point is forever

From the pate to the nail of my feet

you cannot stand correct

You will not see a place of eager in the tracks of my face.

While you keep on bursting the dirts

I mistakenly made

As I rake the ground with tears

I shed without notice

For so many times my heart

Is fully seam with it

I pray for that day when I can

scutter the world with reborn thoughts

of being innocent and free,

Free from those raging memories that hurts me day by day and

had been pressed under the joyful sun

I bare my frieze under a bitter cold

life having the chance that it can heat me up.

But maybe glum can be attain

As I choose a way to stop this beating

that I may gloss the facts

And withstand the challenges of life.

Isdang Maliit

Isdang maliit,

May gintong palikpik

Hindi kaya mahirap

Buhay mo sa tubig,

Laging lumalangoy,

Laging sumisisid.

Sapagkat kung ikaw

Ay lalaking mang-mang

Dapat ka nang gawing

PANG-ULAM!

How Can I Tell You?

How can I tell you

That I care for you?

How can I say to you

That I’m a lonely girl?

How can I tell you

That I want you to be my friend?

How can I tell you

That you’re always in my heart?

How can I tell you

I need you?

How can I tell you

I long for you?

When I see you,

I don’t know what to do.

When you talk to me

I don’t know what to say

These words are always

On my mind.

When can you be mine?

You don’t know how much

You mean to me

And I hope we are meant

To be.

Liham

Alam mo ba,

     Mahal na mahal kita.

I LOVE YOU!

Hindi ko nga alam

     Pa’no tayo magiging magkaibigan.

Alam kong madalas mo kong

     Tinatawagan pag may problema ka.

Pero alam kong iniisip mo,

 na hindi kita tinutulungan.

Akala mo lang yun.

Sa lahat ng problema mo,

Ako lang ang katulong mo.

Minsan iniisip ko…

Bakit ganun,

     Lumalayo ka sa akin.

Hindi ka na bumibisita…

Ang tagal ko nang naghihintay.

Pero okay lang yun!

Basta ikaw!

Alam mo miss na kita…

Sana pag may time ka,

Kahit saglit dalawin mo ko.

Huwag kang matakot,

     Sa dilim ng kahapon.

Huwag kang malungkot,

     Sa tuwing wala sila.

Nandito naman ako,

     Laging nasa tabi mo ko.

Sa araw-araw ng Buhay mo,

Kasama mo ako.

Heto ka na naman nagtatanong,

Kalian ba?

Sa iyong pagtulog…

     Na dati-rati nagkukuwento ka,

Ngayon hindi na!

Naiintindihan kita,

     Pagod ka na kasi.

Kaya sige lang, magpahinga ka na,

May panibago pang bukas

Ang kwento nating dalawa.

Di mo lang alam…

Sa iyong paglalakad,

Magkasabay tayo.

Binubuhat pa nga kita.

Para maramdaman mo,

     Kahit saglit ang kaginhawaan.

Pansinin mo naman ako…

Kamustahin…

Ako ang kaibigan mong totoo.

Sobrang K.S.P. ko na talaga.

Para sa’yo, lahat gagawin ko.

Mahal na mahal kita…

I LOVE YOU!

                        - JESUS –

How Do I Love You?

A warm smile,

A cold teardrop.

A sweet hug,

How can I do this to you?

A bowl of love,

A spoon of care.

And a soft poem for you

How can I do this to you?

A heaven of happiness

A hell of sadness

But you’re always there for me,

How do I love you?

Paano Nga Ba Nagsimula Ang Araw Ng Mga Puso?

Araw ng mga puso,

Kung ating babablikan,

Taong 269 nang ito’y magsimula

Mula sa isang paring martir,

Si Valentino, isang santo.

Patron ng mga nagmamahalan,

Kasama diyan ang magkasintahan, magkapatid,

Mag-asawa, nag-iisa o may kapansanan.

Siya ang tagapagpasya.

Ito ay isa sa mga espesyal

Na araw sa ating kalendaryo.

Ngunit kung ating papansinin,

Bawat oras ay Araw ng mga Puso.

Dahil sa patuloy na pagtibok

Ng ating puso para sa ating mahal,

At ang walang hanggang pag-ibig

Ng Diyos sa sanlibutan.

Itong araw ay din a kailangan sumapit

Para lamang masabi mo

Ang tunay na nilalaman

Ng iyong puso.

Kahit saan,

Kahit kalian,

Kahit anong oras,

Maaari mong sabihin sa kanya.

Sobrang saya ang maalala ka niya,

Sino? Ng iyong minamahal

Kahit wala ng bulaklak o tsokolate

Basta kasama mo siya.

Isa ito sa mga di matatawarang

Araw sa ating buhay.

Dahil ang pag-ibig ay di kumukupas,

Lumipas man ang mahabang pananhon.

“Ang pag-ibig ay hiwaga,

          At ang hiwaga ay pag-ibig.”

Ang Diyos na pinakadakila,

Ay ang dakilang pag-ibig,

          pantay para sa lahat.

Sea of Love

Do you remember when we met?

That's the day I knew you were my pet

I wanna tell you

How much I love you.

Come with me my love to the sea,

To the sea of love

I wanna tell you

That I miss you so much.

Come with me

To the sea of love

I wanna tell you

How much I love you.

Actions of Love

When I smile,

     it means I like you.

When I make an eye to eye contact,

it means give me a chance to make you mine.

When I sit beside you,

it means I always care for you

      (I miss you!).

When my mind started to fly and think of you,

it means I fell in love with you       (I love you!).

But when my actions of love STOPS,

     it means Adieu.

I can find another one!

Why???

Why do people say goodbye?

And not to make another try?

Why do you have to go away?

What I do is to wait and pray.

Why do others make someone cry?

Though there's a love that they deny?

Why my hope does seem to be gone?

Oh! Tell me, please, my beloved one . . .

Why do I need to be hurt and take the pain?

Why does my heart call you?

Why does it says,

"I'm still in love with you . . ."?

For all the tears . . .

For I'm in blue . . .

For not giving me a love that's true . . .

Thank you!

A Best Friend

You're always here beside me

When I need you most

Always ready to help me without

Counting any cost

You've loved and received me for

What I am and Who I am.

I thanked God for he has given you to me,

Though I'm not worthy to be granted such

A glee

I shall not forget the yesteryears

And the days we've shared and spent together

The memories of joy, pain, laughter and the

Secrets we've reveled to each other.

Let Me Be the One

Let me be the one,

To be the part of your life,

To make your happiness day and night.

Let me be the one,

To wipe your tears in your eyes,

     To kiss your broken heart.

Let me be the one,

     To hug your wounded souls,

To love you more than everything in this world.

So would you . . .

Be a part of these broken dreams?

Walang Paningin

Nakita na nga't lahat

Di man lamang pinansin

Kapwa tayo isang lahi

Ngunit ikaw na kadugo't katribo

Kami'y iyong isinang tabi.

Ano bang meron?

Sigarilyo, kendi, basahan at diyaryo

Kanilang ikinabubuhay.

Walang benta,

Walang pagkain . . .

Tila isang hulog ng langit

Ang Taong mamakyaw ng kanilang

Binebenta . . .

Hinuhuli, kinukulong

Pineperahan ng mga pulis at opisyales

Nasa piligro ang kanilang buhay . . .

Magagawa mo bang sila ay kaawaan,

Ano ang kahihinatnan ng mga taong ito?

Makakaahon pa ba sila sa kamay ng kahirapan?

Tak - Taka - Tak!

Tak - Taka - Tak!

Pagbabaliktanaw

Sa hirap at sa ginhawa

Sa issue at sa intriga

Sa lahat ng ngiti't guso't

Lahat 'di Nakalusot.

Sa saya at sa kalungkutan

Sa pagtitipon at sa pag - iisa

Tanging Diyos ang tinatawagan

Ang nag - iisang sandalan.

Di hamak na ganyan din

Ang nadama ni Hesus

Nang siya'y nagkatawang tao

Para tayo ay makapiling.

Dugo at pawis ng Mesiyas

Siya na nagligtas

Bigay ay buhay na Walang Hanggan

Para sa ngayon at magpakailanman.

Only Hope

I ‘am here,

'cause you are here,

Why I need to do this to myself?

'cause you is my only hope.

Why I need to care for you,

'cause you also care for me.

Why I need to love you,

'cause you also love me.

'Cause you are here,

and I’ am here.

Why you need to do this to me?

'cause me is your only hope.

Kariton

Tumatakbo paro't parito

tulak - tulak ng isang basurero,

Na ngayo'y tahanan ng mga Pilipino

Sa isang tabi ng kalsada.

Walang damit,

Walang pagkain,

Walang sariling tahanan

kundi sa isang kariton sila ay nagsisiksikan.

Isang gabing napadaan

sa tabi ng kariton

Isang masayang pamilya

ang aking nasilayan.

Espesyal na okasyon,

sila'y sama - sama,

Nariyan si NANAY

Nag - aalaga kay bunso.

Si AMA naghahanap ng makakain,

kahit ito'y tira - tira na

Si ATE at si KUYA wari'y

nangangarap . . .

Sa malalim na iniisip

habang tuloy pa rin ang pagdaan

ng mga sasakyan

Sa kanilang munting tirahan.

Kailangan Kita

Buhay ko'y nagulo,

Naramdaman ang pighati't kalungklutan

Mundo ko'y nawasak

Nawalang parang bula.

Sa araw - araw,

Mukha'y di maipinta,

Luha'y di mapigilan.

Iniisip pa na wakasan

na lamang ang lahat.

Tuloy pa rin ba,

Ang pagtibok ng pusong sawimpalad?

Pusong walang kamuwang - muwang

Inalagaa't ibinasura.

Hanggang kailan pa?

Hanggang saan pa?

Ang hirap at pasakit,

Na aking nadarama.
